Jonathan Wu, SPHR, MBA
Passionate about client service (and his golf game)

Having built a solid foundation in human resources and benefits working for three premier hospitals in Southern California, Jonathan now leads Precise HR Solutions to share his insight and talent with other organizations seeking to develop effective HR strategies and skilled HR teams.

Jonathan started his career at Methodist Hospital of Southern California where he quickly rose through the ranks, eventually earning a director-level position. His Human Resource role included oversight for benefits administration in addition to all facets of HR, always with an eye for improving efficiencies and cutting costs while maintaining quality. He implemented HRIS solutions, developed an organization-wide overtime reduction process that reduced overtime by 28% in one year, and established a wellness program to help deliver quality benefits to employees while reducing overall costs to all participants.

Jonathan’s role at City of Hope supporting Senior Leadership in the Medical Center with all HR functions, including compensation, benefits and succession planning, helped him to land a position on the Executive Team at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. His many accomplishments at Valley Presbyterian included implementing an HRIS and payroll system, developing a compensation strategy and philosophy for the hospital, improving risk prevention while reducing the number of open legal cases, creating a retirement committee and overseeing a retirement plan vendor change, and developing and implementing leadership training for the organization.

Meticulous in his work, Jonathan is equally precise on the golf course where the scratch golfer spends much of his free time.
